An Important Update on CAI & Coronavirus

Dear Members of the CAI Community, As we all learn to navigate the unprecedented circumstances in which we find ourselves due to the global spread of Coronavirus, I am sending this communication to you to outline what measures are being undertaken by CAI’s Pennsylvania & Delaware Valley Chapter in order to comply with the aggressive, preventive measures that have been ordered by Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf and other local authorities to protect the health of individuals and our communities.

Chapter Office

Beginning today, March 16, 2020, the chapter office will operate on a virtual basis. All staff will be working remotely from our homes and will continue to serve our members and conduct operations on a remote basis until further notice. You may contact staff via email, via the contact page on our website, or by calling the office at 610.783.1315, and leave a voice message.

Chapter Committees & Regional Councils

All chapter volunteer committee meetings will take place as scheduled using ZOOM video conference service. Staff will be reaching out to all chapter volunteers shortly with instructions on how to participate virtually.

The chapter is re-scheduling all in-person events that are on the calendar for March and April. This includes the following events:

All other details of the above events remain the same, including locations, and start and end times. Staff will be reaching out to anyone who is already registered to attend these programs to communicate regarding the re-scheduled dates. For more information on these programs, please visit the calendar on our website.

If you have already registered to attend one of the above programs and are not able to participate on the new date, we will gladly refund your registration fee or provide a credit you can use to register for an upcoming program.

Roaring 2020 Conference Expo

As of today, our Roaring 2020 Conference Expo scheduled for Thursday and Friday, May 7-8, 2020 at Valley Forge Casino remains scheduled as planned. We will be closely monitoring the situation, and, in the event that social distancing requirements and bans on large events are extended into May, we have secured an alternate date for the Expo. The Chapter Board of Directors and Staff will evaluate the situation in the coming weeks and make a decision on whether to re-schedule the Expo. The alternate dates will be Wednesday and Thursday, July 8-9, 2020. For more information on the conference and expo, please visit this page. We will also work with all sponsors and exhibitors to ensure the best possible value under these unique circumstances.

In Closing

Finally, let me thank you for your understanding and support as we all adapt to this new, temporary reality that has become necessary to protect the health and safety of our staff, our members, and our communities. Our staff continues to monitor developments on a constant basis and is in constant contact with chapter leadership and the CAI national headquarters in order to enact and fine-tune these contingency plans.

Eventually, we will return to normal. And at such time, I look forward to greeting you all with a firm handshake, and a glass of cheer.

Until such time, be well.
