The Excellence in Community Leadership Award is one of CAI Keystone’s six Excellence Awards in which members can nominate fellow members. This award is given to a community association’s board of directors that has excelled in the field of leadership and community governance.
CAI builds and guides communities to be the best they can be for the overall good of the membership they serve. Successful nominees are community association boards of directors that have shown a sustained commitment and the sense of community to the mission of their association through service. Nominees should strive to preserve the character of their community, protect property values, meet and/or exceed the expectations of homeowners, and serve in the best interests of the association. The work they do transcends their organization, positively impacts the entire community, and advances equity and inclusion of all. The mission to deliver continuous improvement solutions to inspire community excellence and to shape the community’s future by creating alliances to connect with experts in continuous improvement with solid core values of excellence, commitment, integrity, and respect
All of this was recognized as the accomplishments of the Board of Directors of Hidden Valley Foundation Community Association in Hidden Valley, PA. This community, which was nominated by Nicole Skaro, CMCA, EBP, was identified as having an engaged, motivated, and successful board.
The Hidden Valley Foundation is a master association, and they treat each sub-association as both an individual entity with specific needs and also as a part of a bigger association as a whole. The work tirelessly to garner homeowner satisfaction with pride and joy.
Their culture is engrained throughout the community to be innovative in the face of challenge, to illuminate long-lasting industry solutions, and to be successful in all that they do. For that reason, they were honored as the recipient of the 2022 Excellence in Community Leadership Award!
