Excellence Awards Spotlight: Courtney Dickinson-Mukamuri

By: Margo Ferro | Tip Top Property Solutions, Inc.

Courtney Dickinson-Mukamuri has been an integral member of CAI for many years and recently won the 2022 Chapter Shining Star Award. The Shining Star Award is given to a CAI Keystone member who has volunteered for at least two years and who is deeply committed to serving the chapter.

Courtney was incredibly honored to receive this award at the annual gala this past November. When asked what she sees as the criteria for a Shining Star nominee she said, “what really sticks out to me is that it doesn’t necessarily have to be a huge, career defining moment. It can be anything from volunteering for a committee to helping at the Expo or by encouraging members to attend events. Any little action has an impact and can lead to being a Shining Star.”

Courtney is currently the Director of Admin & Operations for Eiseman Construction in New Britain, PA.  She started attending CAI events in 2017, but became more actively involved 3 years ago. She really began benefitting from all that CAI has to offer when she took her involvement to the next level by joining a committee and attending events.

“The biggest benefit I saw was a greater understanding of the scope of HOAs. It was more than just seeing my corner of the business but now understanding all the other trades and how they fit together to service our HOA partners.”

Several of Courtney’s colleagues nominated her within the category recognizing all the ways she helps the chapter thrive. Courtney continues to actively serve CAI as the Vice Chair and Secretary of the Awards Committee and said that this year she wants to bring more awareness to the nomination process. She humbly shared that, “it makes such an impact even to be nominated. And it means a lot to me for someone to recognize that my efforts are making a difference.”

In addition to The Chapter Shining Star, there are seven other award categories including: Excellence in Education, Excellence in Community Management, Excellence in Community Leadership, Excellence in Community Service, Chapter Rookie of the Year, Recruiter of the Year, and the prestigious Robert Wise President’s Award for Lifetime Achievement.  All 2023 nominees and recipients will be recognized at the Excellence Awards Gala on November 30th at The Talamore County Club in Blue Bell, PA.

Nominations will open soon, so be on the lookout for members working hard to make the CAI Keystone Chapter great!
