Excellence in Education Spotlight: George C. Greatrex, Jr., Esq.

Education has the power to raise people up, make meaningful connections, be innovative in the face of challenges, and to illuminate long-lasting industry solutions. Knowledge, learning, and education are part of a continuum passed from generation to generation continually that creates opportunities for lifelong exchanges between teaching and learning.

Through CAI’s business partners, manager’s, and homeowner leaders this is accomplished by the opportunity to connect people to the array industry professionals at education sessions.

CAI’s events provide some of the most educationally inspiring opportunities from specialists that provide special in-person and virtual programs for our industry leaders every year.

The Excellence in Education Award was established to specifically recognize expertise within the field of Association education who has contributed valuable education content.

The 2022 recipient of the Excellence in Education award was George C. Greatrex, Jr., Esq., Hill Wallack, LLP

George is a partner in the Cherry Hill, N.J. office of Hill Wallack LLP, and is a member of the firm’s Community Associations practice group. For more than 34 years, George has been devoted to improving community association laws while representing all forms of common interest communities.

He is a dedicated member of the Community Associations Institute (CAI), is a past Chair of the CAI Legislative Action Committee of NJ, is a frequent presenter to association member leaders and managers. George continues to provide relevant and reliable information for the betterment of all and for this reason he was nominated in 2021 and 2022 and successfully awarded the prestigious award in 2022.

When asked how he felt about winning the award after his nomination, George advised me that he was “very grateful and proud.” George loves this part of the business and enjoys lending to others the opportunity to learn to be the best they can be.

Nominations are up and coming around the corner and you do not want to miss out on nominating a well-deserved individual who continues to contribute to our industry through being a Chapter, Excellence in Community Management, Excellence in Community Leadership, Excellence in Community Service, the Chapter Rookie of the Year, a Recruiter of the Year, and the esteemed Robert Wise President’s Award for Lifetime Achievement.

All nominees and recipients will be recognized at the 2023 Annual Excellence Awards Gala held on Thursday, November 30th at The Talamore County Club in Blue Bell, PA. This event is set to sell out, so think of the sponsorships available as well as your nominations, the clock is ticking.
