Meet CAI Keystone’s New Member: A New Symbol for Our Community

Meet CAI Keystone’s New Mascot 🦉

We were proud to officially unveil CAI Keystone’s new mascot at our Annual Committee Retreat, where it was met with an overwhelmingly positive response from chapter leaders, volunteers, and committee members. The introduction sparked immediate excitement and conversation, reinforcing just how strongly the owl resonates with our community.

The energy in the room made it clear that this mascot isn’t just a new visual element – it’s something our members are genuinely excited to rally around as we head into a new year.

Why an Owl?

As we explored different mascot ideas, we kept coming back to the owl for one simple reason: it fits.

Owls are widely recognized as symbols of wisdom, guidance, and thoughtful leadership, qualities that align closely with CAI Keystone’s mission. Our members look to the chapter for education, perspective, and support as they navigate the complex world of community associations. The owl represents that steady, informed presence.

Thoughtful Design, Intentional Details

Every part of the mascot’s design was created with purpose:

    • Brand Colors – The owl proudly features CAI Keystone’s established color palette, keeping it consistent with our existing brand and materials.

    • Keystone Symbol – A subtle nod to our home state reinforces our regional identity and roots.

    • Three Feathers – The owl’s plume includes three distinct feathers, representing the three states we serve and the diverse communities within them.

The goal was to design something that feels friendly and approachable, while still professional enough to stand alongside the work we do every day.

The Impact We Hope to Create

This mascot is meant to do more than look good on slides, signage, or swag. We see the owl as a unifying symbol- something that brings a bit of personality to our education, events, and outreach.

Whether it’s welcoming new members, showing up at trade shows, or helping tell our story in a more engaging way, the owl is here to make CAI Keystone feel more human, more accessible, and more memorable.

Help Us Name the Owl 🏆

Now comes the fun part – and we want your help.
