Chapter members gathered on January 21 as CAI Keystone kicked-off the chapter’s 50th year at the Union League of Philadelphia with its 2025 State of the Industry Breakfast. CAI’s outgoing Chief Executive Officer Tom Skiba, CAE, who is set to retire later this year, presented a fascinating and insightful in-depth look at the past, present, and future of community associations.

The closing session, featuring moderator Andrew Sytnik, CMCA and a panel of veteran community managers including Steven Brumfield, CMCA, AMS, PCAM; Nancy Hastings, CMCA, AMS, PCAM; Diane Gothard, CMCA, AMS, PCAM; and Barbara Saxton, CMCA, AMS, PCAM to discuss, “What I’ve Learned & Witnessed During a Long(ish) Career in Community Association Management.” This esteemed panel of long-serving managers and management company executives shared all they’ve witnessed and learned during their careers, how the profession of community management has changed over the years, and what the future may hold for the profession.
